We are a private practice dedicated to supporting the communication and participation of children in rural areas.
We work with both privately funded clients and NDIS clients who are self or plan managed.
We currently service The Rock, Henty, Wagga Wagga and surrounds.
Our clinics are located in;
- The Rock at The Rock Recreation Centre, Wilson Street.
- Henty at The Old Servo, 1 Sladen Street East.

Our team
Professor Sarah Verdon, PhD. CPSP
Sarah is the director of NeuroBloom Speech Pathology practice in rural NSW, which provides much needed services to geographically isolated children with communication needs.
Sarah is a neurodiversity affirming speech pathologist, early childhood researcher and mother of 3.
Her research across 6 continents focuses on embracing the diversity of children from different cultures, languages, geographic areas, socioeconomic backgrounds and levels of ability to create equitable opportunities for all children to have a strong start to life and reach their full potential.
Sarah represented Australia on the World Health Organisation Development Group for Autism Spectrum Disorder.

She oversaw the development of the Speech Pathology Australia national position paper and clinical guidelines for “working in a culturally and linguistically diverse society”.
Sarah hosts the “Talking Children Podcast”, a podcast designed to support caregivers and educators to give their children the best start to life.
Sarah is also a director of the Trinh Foundation Australia, an Australian-based international not-for profit organisation whose mission is to develop speech therapy in Vietnam.
Sarah loves travel, Collingwood Football Club #gopies, all things AFL, and is an OG Swiftie #taylornation#swiftie.

Lucia Flint, Bachelor Speech and Language Pathology (Honours Class 1) CPSP
Lucia (Lou-see-yah) is a Speech Pathologist at NeuroBloom.
She studied her Bachelor of Speech Language Pathology in Albury NSW.
Lucia was awarded first class honours for her research on parents and caregivers role in early intervention. Lucia’s honours research included a national survey of 435 Australian parents and caregivers.
Lucia presented her research at the Asia Pacific Society of Speech Language and Hearing Conference in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Lucia was awarded the CSU First Nations Student Excellence Award in 2023, for her outstanding academic performance and honours research.
Lucia identifies as being neurodivergent herself! Feel free to ask her about her special interests (she has many).
Lucia was born with a unilateral cleft lip and palate. Lucia has an instagram page @thecleftspeechie, where she shares posts about cleft and facial difference advocacy, neurodivergence and evidence based practice. #cleftproud
Lucia’s interests include; baking #carbs, reading, Lego (botanical collection), Harry Potter, op shopping and all things visual design!

Emma Samson, Bachelor Speech and Language Pathology, CPSP
We are thrilled to also welcome to the NeuroBloom Team, Speech Pathologist Emma!
Emma graduated with a Bachelor of Speech and Language Pathology from Charles Sturt University. Since graduating she has worked with clients across the life span (from 2 years old to 80-year-olds!).
Emma is currently completing Jessie Ginsburg’s Inside Out Sensory Course and has previously completed professional development in Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC), Colourful Semantics, a Learn to Play Inspired Workshop as well as a number of in-services.
Emma will be working with clients in Henty and surrounding areas on Tuesdays!
Emma has a range of fun facts including that; her family had 6 dogs at one point, she was almost on ‘Millionaire Hot Seat’, she has auditioned for ‘X Factor’ and she doesn’t have a favourite book or movie because she doesn’t like reading/watching things more than once.

Lucia’s Graduation Ceremony

On the 23rd of April, Lucia and I attended the Charles Sturt University Faculty of Science and Health 2023 Graduation Ceremony. During the ceremony we celebrated Lucia receiving her Bachelor of Speech-Language Pathology with Honours (First Class). Congratulations Lucia!
